How to find Ramundberget

By car

Ramundberget is just a 6 – 7 hour car journey from Stockholm. It’s located at 750m above sea level in western Härjedalen, 20 km from the Norwegian border.

The fastest route from Stockholm is on the E4 northbound towards Hudiksvall via Ljusdal to Sveg, and thereafter on road 84 to Funäsdalen. If you prefer a shorter and more scenic route, drive on the E4 to Tönnebro and take the exit towards Bollnäs, Järvsö and Ljusdal. Thereafter drive to Sveg on road 84. Take a right at the turning signposted to Bruksvallarna and Ramundberget. When the road ends you’re there!

From Gothenburg, the best route is via Sälen and Sörvattnet. The road is very twisty before you reach Tännäs as it goes over the mountain through the highest located village in Sweden, so if you’re not used to driving in winder conditions, we recommend you drive through Vansbro, Mora and Sveg. Thereafter take road 84 to Funäsdalen, go right at the turning signposted to Bruksvallarna and Ramundberget. When the road ends you’re there!
