Your mountain home since 1936
Ramundberget is a family-owned mountain resort located at the end of the road in western Härjedalen. For over 90 years, people have come here for one and the same reason – their love of the mountains.
History
One late-winter day in 1935, the farming couple Brita and Agaton Norberg opened their door to a group of cold students who had skied across the mountains in search of food and shelter. The following year, the students decided to return with their friends from the academic mountain club. This is where the story of Ramundberget began, and generations have been hiking, skiing, relaxing and spending time together here ever since.
Ramundberget today
Today, Ramundberget is part of Scandinavia’s largest ski area, offering a multi-activity arena with 50 slopes, 10 lifts, 300 km of interconnected groomed cross-country trails, fun snow parks, easily accessible ski touring and challenging skiing through the sparse birch forest. In summer, there are also hiking trails and a bike park. Other facilities include a unique golf course, disc golf, a biathlon arena, a roller-ski track and a modern conference venue, among much more.
Ramundberget offers accommodation to suit a variety of needs and preferences. Choose from hotels, apartments, cabins, hostels or motorhome pitches. There are also restaurants, cafés, a grocery store and a waffle hut on the mountain. Topsport operates sports shops with equipment rental and organises activities and adventures in Ramundberget and Funäsdalen.
Nature, tradition & hospitality
These three words form the foundation of the values that have guided us for 90 years. Here, young and old alike can experience adventures among majestic mountains and untamed nature. Authenticity, small scale and respect for our heritage have always been at the heart of everything we do. We live and grow with a long-term perspective, in harmony with the nature entrusted to our care. At Ramundberget, you should always feel welcome and be treated with kindness and respect, whoever you are and whatever brings you here. Welcome to Ramundberget, your mountain home since 1936!
