When the mountains are at their most beautiful, a unique hunting experience awaits. Over three days, you’ll enjoy an exclusive guided ptarmigan hunt led by experienced mountain hunters, combined with exceptional food and nature experiences.

From 25 August until the end of September, we offer an exclusive three-day ptarmigan hunting package. We welcome hunting parties of up to six people, providing a personalised hunting experience of the highest quality. The itinerary is as follows.
Day 1 – Welcome to the End of the Road
Upon arrival at Hotell Fjällgården, you will check into a setting where tradition meets modern comfort. Once you have settled in, you will be served a welcome drink, followed by a brief introduction during which our experienced guides will tell you about the adventures ahead. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner with the other members of the hunting party and get a taste of what awaits during your stay. Dinner is served in Agaton, Fjällgården’s private dining room. If you would like a drink with dinner, we recommend choosing something from Fjällgården’s wine cellar.
Day 2 – Your First Hunting Experience
The day begins with a hearty, nutritious breakfast to give you the energy you need to head out into the pristine mountain landscape. After a thorough briefing on the day’s itinerary, safety procedures and hunting ethics, the group sets off on its first hunting adventure. Accompanied by our experienced guides and dog handlers, you will explore the terrain in search of ptarmigan. Lunch is enjoyed outdoors, with a simple yet delicious meal that reflects the authentic mountain experience. After the hunt, we freshen up at Ösjöstugan, high above the tree line, where private chefs will be waiting to serve food and drinks. We then spend the night at Ösjöstugan.
Day 3 – Second Day of Hunting
After breakfast, the adventure continues with another day of hunting. There will also be short breaks to admire the magnificent mountain scenery, allowing the tranquillity and beauty of nature to become part of the experience. Back at Hotell Fjällgården, there will be time to unwind and reflect on the past few days over a three-course dinner.
Day 4 – Departure
After breakfast, we leave Ramundberget—for now.
