Starting in Flon, you’ll paddle downstream along the Ljusnan River – Sweden’s ninth-longest river! Ljusnan is known for its crystal-clear water and winding course. During your canoe trip, you’ll pass several beautiful sandy beaches, perfect for picnic breaks and refreshing dips in the river.
You can choose whether or not you would like transport to the starting point. If you opt for transport, you leave your own car at the end point of the paddling route, and the staff will then drive you to Flon, where the paddling begins.
Short Ljusnan-trip
Paddling time: approx. 45 min
Start: Flon in Bruksvallarna Finish: The riverside shelter Total time: 2–3 hours including breaks Highlights: Easy paddling, with lovely beaches along the way for swimming and refreshments.

Depending on whether you are doing the long or short paddling route, park your car at the following locations:
- Short Ljusnan-route: The swimming area at Flon (the one with the wind shelter)
- Long Ljusnan-route: Bruksgården near Funäsdalen (approx. 3 km away)
We haven't booked transportation. Where can we park the car?
Park your car in the gravel parking area by the canoe starting point in Flon. You can see the gravel area and the red shed from the road.
