Frequently asked questions
What can I expect?
- At 9:00 am, we meet at the activity centre at Topsport Ramundberget to go through the equipment and the plan for the day. If you need to collect equipment, please do so at 8:30 am.
- We then head out onto the mountain, sometimes taking the lift for the first part and sometimes setting off on skis directly from the shop. Bring a valid lift pass if you have one.
- Out on the mountain, we combine some fantastic powder skiing with useful tips. We cover how to make kick turns on the ascent, avalanche safety and much more. We stop for the snacks/lunch we’ve brought along before making our way back towards Ramundberget.
What equipment is included?
Ski touring skis, climbing skins, poles, ski boots and an avalanche safety kit (transceiver, probe and shovel).
Email us your name, height, weight and shoe size. If you would like to rent any other equipment, please let us know by email as well.
Our smallest rental ski boots are size 36, and you should weigh at least 45 kg for the bindings to work properly.
Of course, you’re also welcome to use your own equipment.
What do I need to bring?
Bring your own backpack (at least 30 litres) with room for avalanche safety equipment, warm clothing, water and a light lunch (e.g. sandwiches). Dress for the weather using the layering principle. Please also bring a valid lift pass if you have one. Backpacks are available to borrow if needed.
Remember that the weather can change quickly in the mountains. In addition to the gear listed above, we recommend consulting this equipment list when taking part in our activities.
