Gift a Cocktail Experience

For all the romantics out there, we have created two new cocktails inspired by local ingredients and our guests' passion for nature and skiing. Just in time for Valentine's.

In search of something warming for that romantic mountain walk? Or maybe you'd like to treat your sweetheart to something refreshing after a day on the slopes, just to show them how much you care? No matter how you choose to spend February 14th, we have two great new tasty gift ideas. You will find them at Grytan Bar & Kitchen and Mor Britas during all of Week 7.

If you'd like to try them at home, you'll find the recipes below. Enjoy!

Ramundberget Hunter Tea

A drink for the strong-willed. For a great day on the mountain you need not only well-trained thighs, but well-prepared syrup as well. Wet wood, humidity and cold are other challenges for a successful bonfire. But don't let this stop you - everyone enjoys the taste of endurance and hard work! Of course, you can also prepare it all at home... and bring a thermos.

Recipe:

4 cl gin
2 cl honey and ginger syrup
2 cl lime
2 cl cranberry purée
5 cl black tea

Preparation:

Honey and ginger syrup:

•       5 cl raw ginger juice

•       10 cl honey

•       3 cl water

•       Heat honey and water until dissolved. Remove from heat and add ginger. Let cool.

Cranberry Purée / Sugar Syrup:

•       Mix 50 cl water and 50 cl sugar.

•       Boil until sugar dissolves.

•       Pour the sugar syrup over 50 cl frozen cranberries and leave for 24 hours.

•       Pour out the sugar syrup. Press and strain the berries until puréed.

Mixing Instructions:

•       Build a fire

•       Heat water on the fire and add a tea bag

•       When the tea is strong enough, pour 5 cl into a cup.

•       Add honey and ginger syrup, lime and cranberry purée. Put it back on the fire, and enjoy the heat.

Ramis Imûhrt Rum

An easier Valentine's cocktail with great color and a crisp lemony scent. As light and lovely as carving down fresh corduroy.

Fire Weed (also called Rose Bay, Willow Herb, or, in Härjedalen, "imûhrt") has lent its lovely color and beautiful dried petals to this locally inspired cocktail.

Recipe:

4 cl light rum
1 cl lemon juice
4 cl Fire Weed syrup
1 drop beetroot juice

Mixing Instructions:

•       Measure and pour the rum

•       Add lemon juice and Fire Weed syrup

•       Add a drop of beetroot juice and stir

•       Decorate with dried Fire Weed petals
